Summer is such a magical time. I was lucky enough to vacation a couple months within the Yucatan region this summer. It was definitely really an amazing experience to be there. You may get to witness one of the most beautiful scenes you'll ever see in nature if the moment is right. As luck had it, I was able to witness a live sea turtle laying eggs during my stay down here. I've had friends who have been living here for multiple years that still haven't seen one. It was indescribable! All I can say is that this is something everyone should see at some point in their lives.
If you go to Turtle Beach in the daytime, the first thing you'll notice is there are very few people at this beach. It's very rare to see any more than 50 people there, and maybe 100 in a 3/4 mile stretch of beach if it is a really busy day. Still, even 100 doesn't seem like much when you consider the size of the beach. It is so serene because of this. The turquoise blue water will literally blow your mind. Not only is it 75-80 degrees, the waves themselves are also tiny and won't smack you or your kids around like other beaches. The Coral Reef, which is about 50 feet from the shore has something to do with the small waves. As a result of the Coral Reef, this is an ideal area for Scuba and Snorkeling. There are dozens of professional diving tours available at affordable rates in Tulum. When I finally get back to Tulum, I'm definitely not going to miss out on Scuba Diving again.
I truly hope that time comes soon. The Yucatan region as a whole, is simply beautiful. Cancun and Playa del Carmen have so much to offer as well. You can live in luxury at hundreds and hundreds of Yucatan peninsula hotels including Playa del Carmen hotels. Tulum Mexico hotels will also give you luxury but the prices are usually more affordable and the service more personable. I highly recommend coming down to Tulum, Mexico. With wide-open spaces, beautiful jungles, amazing beaches, Mayan ruins, tasty restaurants and more, I'm confident you'll learn that Tulum is exactly the vacation you're looking for.
