The idea behind the Jersey Shore show is combining 8 individuals to reside together on the Jersey Shore and interact on a daily basis.
The Jersey Shore is sort of comparable to The Real World, except these kids take it over the top.
The Jersey Shore show was filmed in Seaside Heights, NJ for the first season. Thanks to the popularity of the 1st season MTV went ahead an opted for a 2nd season, sending the cast off to sunny Miami Beach.
Why is the Jersey Shore show so popular?
The show reminds me of a terrible care accident. You know you shouldn’t be staring, but it’s hard to resist the gruesome visuals and dramatic appeal.
The Jersey Shore show has a cast which consists of brash, in-your-face, party-animals that are appealing to watch, not to mention their shallow personalities, overly tanned and muscular bodies, and flashy clothing. They do a great job at keeping your attention, it's hard looking away. Alcohol, altercations, and sex - what's not to love about these greaseballs?
I'm sure the cast was shocked by how popular the show became, as well as MTV. Merchandise has been selling like hotcakes - CDs, DVDs, apparel, you name it, they're selling it. Don't think MTV will show any mercy while their pulling in the dough hand-over-fist from this show.
Personal fitness programs, publicity stunts, and books and magazines are just a few of the ways the cast of the Jersey Shore show have parlayed their success. To the cast's surprise, they've been blessed with all these oportunities. The cast may seem a bit 'stupid' at first glance, but don't let that fool you... These kids are very savvy and know exactly what they're doing on the Jersey Shore show. Kudos!
So now when you hear someone talking about the Jersey Shore television show, you’ll know exactly what they’re referring to. Even though you may not want to admit to it, you no longer will be left wondering what the Jersey Shore show is.
